COVID plan for Fall 2020 - Studios

There has been some miscommunication as far as the studios go so we will attempt to clarify.
We have outfitted 30 studio spaces that are self-reserved. They are available for live streaming or recording lectures or learning modules. Each of these has an A/V cart with computer with the ability to conduct Zoom Meetings/recordings, extra lighting, HD camera and mic array, plus document camera. Studios located at 2701 N. Charles St. additionally have a 65” digital whiteboard and the ability to record using Panopto.

To Book a Studio, use the online scheduling tool. All other classrooms should be booked through the Registrar's Scheduling Office.

On Campus Studios

What can I do in these?

You can live stream and record lectures or learning modules via Zoom Rooms. Use the provided document camera or connect to the meeting with a laptop. Rooms contain standard classroom furniture.

You cannot directly record to Panopto, but you can work with the CER to have your Zoom recordings automatically transfer to Panopto.

How do I access the room?

You will need to be granted J-Card access to the building since Campus Security will not be opening buildings for general use. The studios themselves will either have a J-Card swipe on them or be unlocked.


What support will be available?

Support will be available by calling x66699 (410-516-6699) Monday through Friday 8am-8pm. Weekend support is currently by prearrangement only.


Off Campus Studios - 2701 N. Charles St. - 3rd Floor - Studio 1-15

What can I do in these?

You can live stream and record lectures or learning modules via Zoom or record lectures using Panopto. Take advantage of the interactive whiteboard display. Use the provided document camera or connect a laptop. Studios contain an adjustable height desk so you can either stand or sit to deliver your content.

How do I access the studios?

Monday through Friday the building, 2701 N. Charles St., will be open from 8am until 5pm. You are expected to leave the studios by no later than 6pm. You will be given J-Card access to the 3rd Floor Suite where the Studios are located.


What support will be available?

Support will be available at the 3rd Floor reception area Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. You will be able to use Insight on the computer in your studio to raise your hand for assistance.



PLEASE NOTE: Sharing a DVD player / BluRay player will not work in Zoom as it blocks protected content from being shared. Zoom has built in HDCP. The only way video can be shared is if it is a clip local to the computer or hosted on an external website.
